ملاقات کے دوران کہی
ممبئی حملوں کے بعد سے شروع ہونے والے پاک بھارت کشیدگی کے بعد یہ پہلا موقع ہے کہ پاکستانی فوج کے سربراہ نے اس معاملے پر بات کی ہے۔
فوج کے شعبۂ تعلقات عامہ سے جاری ہونے والے بیان کے مطابق’ فوج کے سربراہ نے امن اور علاقے کی سکیورٹی کے تناظر میں کشیدگی کم کرنے اور تنازعے سے بچنے کی ضرورت پر زور دیا‘۔
بی بی سی اردو کے نامہ نگار اعجاز مہر کے مطابق جنرل کیانی کا یہ بیان پاکستان اور بھارت کے ڈائریکٹر جنرل ملٹری آپریشنز کے درمیان ہاٹ لائن پر بات چیت کے محض ایک روز بعد سامنے آیا ہے۔پاکستانی فوج کی جانب سے اس بات چیت کی تفصیلات فراہم نہیں کی گئیں تاہم بھارتی فوجی ذرائع کا کہنا ہے کہ اس بات چیت میں ممبئی حملوں کے بعد پاک بھارت سرحد پر ہونے والی فوجی نقل وحرکت پر گفتگو ہوئی۔
چین کے نائب وزیر خارجہ نے جو ممبئی حملوں کے بعد پاکستان اور بھارت کے درمیان بڑھتی ہوئی کشیدگی کم کرنے کی خاطر چین کے خصوصی ایلچی کے طور پر پاکستان کے دورے پر ہیں، صدر، وزیراعظم، وزیر خارجہ، وزیراعظم کے مشیر برائے داخلہ اور چیئرمن جوائنٹ چیفس آف سٹاف کمیٹی سے بھی ملاقاتیں کی ہیں۔
پاکستانی قیادت نے چین کے نمائندے کو بتایا کہ پاکستان بھارت کے ساتھ دہشت گردی کے خاتمے میں مکمل تعاون کرنے کو تیار ہے۔ لیکن ان کے مطابق بھارت نے ممبئی حملوں کی مشترکہ تفتیش سمیت کسی پیشکش کا تاحال مثبت جواب نہیں دیا۔
پاکستان کے دفتر خارجہ سے جاری ہونے والے بیان کے مطابق چین کے نائب وزیر خارجہ نے کشیدگی کم کرنے کے سلسلے میں پاکستانی سوچ کو تعمیری قرار دیا اور کہا کہ کشیدگی دونوں ممالک اور خطے کے مفاد میں نہیں ہے۔ انہوں نے مزید کہا کہ’تنازعہ مسئلے کا حل نہیں بلکہ اس سے صرف دہشت گرد اور انتہا پسندوں کے ہاتھ مضبوط ہوں گے،۔
یاد رہے کہ دو روز قبل پاکستان کے دفاعی ذرائع نے ان خبروں کی تصدیق کی تھی کہ بھارت اور پاکستان کے درمیان بڑھتی ہوئی کشیدگی کے پیش نظر افغانستان کی سرحد پر تعینات پاکستانی فوجیوں کے محدود انخلاء کا عمل شروع کر دیا گیا ہے۔ پاک فوج کے اہلکار نے ان خبروں کی بھی تصدیق کی کہ بھارت کی طرف سے پاکستان کی سرحدوں پر فوج میں اضافے کے پیش نظر پیدل فوج کے دستوں میں شامل فوجیوں کی چھٹیاں منسوخ کر دی گئی ہیں۔
واضح رہے کہ بھارت اور پاکستان کی طرف سے سرحدوں پر فوجوں کی تعداد میں اضافہ کی خبروں کے بعد امریکہ اور برطانیہ نے بھی دونوں ملکوں میں کشیدگی کم کرنے کے لیے اپنی سفارتی کوششیں تیز کردی تھیں

According to the media reports, Lahore police has arrested a RAW agent Satish Anana Shukla from the Lahori Gate area of Lahore. On arrest, Satish told the police that he was there to attend a marriage, but there wasn’t any marriage in the area. When Police arrested him, he told police that his name is Munir, but then on investigation he revealed that he is Satish and he belongs to Kolkata and he has also worked in the London embassy of India for three years and he was there primarily to provide support to his three more companions for doing terror attacks in Pakistan.
Pakistan should let use every diplomatic and foreign effort in this regard to let the world know about this terrorist and the direct involvment of Indian terror agency RAW.
Pakistan has always shown complaceny towards the neighbor India, but India keeps on sending terrorists to kill the Pakistanis and to destabilize Pakistan and don’t spare any moment to defame Pakistan.
India always uses Pakistan as a scapegoat to hide its own inefficiencies and incomptencies. Pakistan need not to be complacent enough anymore and they must expose the Saffron terrorism.

First vessel unloaded in Gwadar Gabol lauds Balochistan CM’s efforts for making seaport functional
Labels: MiscQUETTA: Minister for Ports and Shipping Nabil Ahmed Gabol on Sunday lauded the efforts of Balochistan Chief Minister Nawab Muhammad Aslam Raisani for making the Gwadar seaport functional.
Addressing as the chief guest at a ceremony in connection with the offloading of the first vessel carrying 30,000 tons urea, imported from Qatar, in Gwadar on Sunday, the minister said the people of Balochistan must be proud of their chief minister, who stood for getting the rights of Balochistan. He commended the chief minister for presenting the sentiments of the people of Balochistan before the president and the prime minister and getting accepted the demands regarding the Gwadar Port. He said the credit of making the Gwadar Port functional goes to Nawab Aslam Raisani, who made sincere efforts for the purpose.
Speaking on the occasion, Raisani said that the Gwadar Port was an asset of Balochistan and "we would neither allow anyone to occupy our resources, nor allow conversion of Baloch into a minority." He said the agreement concluded with a Singapore company would be reviewed and amended if necessary. "We want an agreement which promotes and protects the interests of Balochistan," he added.
He said that all the federating units must get their provincial rights in the light of 1940's Lahore Resolution. "Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto was the only politician who could maintain the federating units intact. But now she is no more among us and it is the responsibility of the federal government to keep intact and strengthen the federating units by granting rights of the provinces in the light of the 1940's resolution," he said.
The chief minister expressed his anger over non-local labourers offloading urea from the vessel and directed concerned officials to provide such jobs to the local youth. He said that his government had made efforts for making the port functional in order to give opportunities to the local people and directed the MPA from Gwadar to see that jobs were provided to local people in the port city. "If we cannot benefit the local people by making functional the mega project, then it would be useless."
He said that his government was taking initiatives for granting control to the local people over their resources and granting their rights in the province. The chief minister thanked the president, the PM and Nabil Gabol for taking personal interest in making the seaport functional.
He said that Gwadar deep seaport had not only regional significance, but also it had international importance in view of its geostrategic location. He said that the development of the area would continue and he himself would supervise the overall progress of the coastal areas of the province.
Chairman GPA admiral (retd) Ehsan Saeed and representative of Singapore Company Khurram Abbas also spoke on the occasion.
Balochistan Ministers Younas Mullazai, Asim Kurd Gailu and Hammal Kalmati, district Nazim Gwadar Abdul Ghafoor Kalmati, district coordination officer-DCO Gwadar Noor-ul-Amin Mengal and other senior officials were also present.
Meanwhile, an official handout of the provincial DPR issued here on Sunday night quoting the GPA said that 11 more vessels would be anchored at the Gwadar Port by December 31, 2008, which would increase economic and trade activities in coastal areas, including Gwadar and on the coastal highway in the province.
Meanwhile, Balochistan Chief Minister Nawab Muhammad Aslam Raisani on Sunday directed concerned officials and project directors to complete the ongoing Singhar and New Town housing schemes within the stipulated time.
The chief minister issued the directive while presiding over a meeting of the Board of Directors of Singhar and New Town Housing Schemes in Gwadar on Sunday. He directed them to correct the irregularities and flaws committed in the past while carrying out work on the housing schemes in Gwadar.
He said a ban on allotment of residential plots of these housing schemes was imposed due to illegal allotments and the government would lift the ban after regulating all affairs of the schemes in line with the laws and regulations. He said that in future the allotment of plots would be made only in accordance with the law and rules.

Taliban to back Pakistan army in case of war with India

Claiming that "thousands of our well-armed militants are ready to fight alongside the army if any war is imposed on Pakistan," chief of the outlawed Tehrik-e-Taliban Pakistan, Baitullah Mehsud, told 'The News' daily by phone from an undisclosed location. Hundreds of would-be bombers had been "given suicide jackets and explosive-laden vehicles for protection of the border in case of any aggression by the Indian forces", he said. "The time had come, to wage a real jihad that the Taliban had been waiting for," Mehsud, for whom the Pakistani and US forces are on the look out claimed. "We know very well that the visible and invisible enemies of the country have been planning to weaken this lone Islamic nuclear power. But the mujahideen will foil all such nefarious designs of our enemies," he said. This is for the first time Mehsud has admitted that Taliban has marshalled thousands of fighters close to the Afghan-Pak border and where Pakistani army has launched a major operation to flush them out.
Mehsud said people might question how the Taliban would fight alongside the Pakistan Army when the militants had been fighting the force for a long time.
"Therefore, I want to make it clear that the army was acting otherwise (in the past). But now it would fight for the protection and survival of the country, which is why we will support them," Mehsud said.
Mehsud, who was accused by former President Pervez Musharraf of masterminding the assassination of PPP chairperson Benazir Bhutto in December last year, significantly said the Taliban would defend the country's frontier with Afghanistan in the event of hostilities with India.
He said he wanted to "assure the nation, Govt. and army that they should not worry about Pakistan's western borders with Afghanistan" as "thousands of his armed fighters had already been deployed to safeguard the strategically important frontier".
Taliban fighters are ready to fight under the army's command, he said, but remarked it would be better for the military to "give them a separate sector or specify special targets" for the militants".
Tensions have escalated in the region after India blamed Pakistan-elements for the Membai terror attacks, which killed over 180 people. India has asked Pakistan to take action against elements, including the Lashker-e-Taiba terror group.

Pakistan air force jets fly low amid India tension

New Delhi said there was no violation.Nuclear-armed India and Pakistan have fought three wars over the last 60 years.India accuses Pakistani militants of planning and carrying out the attacks on Mumbai. They Pentagon says they have the following proof:
i) The journalist had visited Pakistan earlier this year. There he was inspired by the shoe throwing at former CM Sindh, Arbab Ghulam Rahim and former Law minister, Sher Afghan Niazi.
ii) He received his training of throwing shoes by a Pakistan based ‘Jihadi’ cobblers organization.
iii) The DNA sample of leather has revealed that the animal whose skin was used for manufacturing the shoe had traces of grass which is grown in North of Pakistan and this skin was collected by a Jihadi organization on Eid-ul-Adha earlier this month.
Hearing this and provision of such ‘concrete evidence’, President Asif Ali Zardari and Prime Minister Yousaf Raza Gilani have decided to ban the Jihadi organization and launched a country wide crackdown against all the cobblers in Pakistan.
It was also decided at a cabinet meeting that the cobblers will now have to register themselves with the Government of Pakistan and obtain licenses from the same.

پاکستان میں تو خیر ایسی اقلیت ہمیشہ سے رہی ہے جو دہلی کے لال قلعے سے لے کر وائٹ ہاؤس تک سبز ہلالی پرچم لہرانا چاہتی ہے۔ چونکہ یہ اقلیت اپنے مقاصد بیلٹ کی بجائے بلٹ سے حاصل کرنا چاہتی ہے۔ لہذا اس کی باتوں کو اکثریت ہمیشہ اس وقت نظرانداز کردیتی ہے جب ووٹ ڈالنے کا وقت آتا ہے۔
مگر جب جنگجویانہ فرقہ پرستی و نسل پرستی کی باتیں ان لوگوں کے منہ سے نکلتی ہیں جو رائے عامہ کے ایک بڑے حصے پر اپنی ذیلی سیاسی تنظیموں کے ذریعے اثر انداز ہونے اور برسرِ اقتدار آنےکی طاقت رکھتے ہیں تو پھر تشویش کی پٹاری کھل جاتی ہے۔
ایسی ہی ایک تنظیم بھارتیہ جنتا پارٹی کی نظریاتی ماں راشٹریہ سوئیم سیوک سنگھ یعنی آر ایس ایس ہے۔ جس کے سربراہ یا سرسنگھ چالک کے ایس سدرشن سے ممبئی دھشت گردی کے پس منظر میں یہ بیان منسوب کیا گیا ہے کہ اگر پاکستان کو سیدھے راستے پر لانے کی پرامن کوششیں ناکام ہوگئیں تو پھر ایٹمی جنگ آخری راستہ ہے۔گو اس جنگ میں بہت لوگ مارے جائیں گے لیکن اس جنگ کے بعد ایک ایسا اچھا سنسار جنم لےگا جو شیطینیت اور دہشت گردی سے پاک ہوگا۔
آر ایس ایس کے ستتر سالہ سربراہ نو برس کی عمر میں اس تنظیم سے وابستہ ہوئے۔اور ان کی ایک خوبی سب ہی مانتے ہیں کہ وہ آر ایس ایس کے بانیوں ہیڈگوار، ڈاکٹر مونجے، ساورکر اور گولوالکر کی طرح کھری بات کہنے کے لیے مشہور ہیں۔
آر ایس ایس کے بانی ہٹلر کے نازی فلسفے کو ہندوستان میں نسلی سوال کے حل کے لیے موزوں سمجھتے تھے اور اس فلسفے پر عمل درآمد مسولینی کی فاشسسٹ تنظیم سازی کے ذریعے کرنا چاہتے تھے۔ جب مارچ انیس سو اکتیس میں ڈاکٹر مونجے کی روم میں مسولینی سے ملاقات ہوئی تو بقول ڈاکٹر مونجے مسولینی نے انہیں مشورہ دیا کہ وہ ہندوستان میں بھی اسی طرح سے کام کریں۔
آر ایس ایس کے ایک اور بانی ساورکر نے اکتوبر انیس سو اڑتیس میں کہا کہ قوم کسی علاقے میں رہنے والی اکثریت کو کہتے ہیں۔ پھر بھلا یہودی جرمنی میں کیا کر رہے ہیں۔

انیس سو انتالیس میں آر ایس ایس کے ایک اور بانی گولوالکر کی کتاب ’وی آر آور نیشن ہڈ ڈیفائنڈ‘ شائع ہوئی۔اس میں ایک جگہ کہا گیا کہ غیرملکی عناصر کے لیے صرف دو راستے ہیں۔ یا تو وہ اکثریتی قوم میں ضم ہوکر اس کی ثقافت اپنا لیں یا اکثریتی گروہ کے رحم و کرم پر اس وقت تک رہتے رہیں جب تک انہیں برداشت کیا جا رہا ہے۔ اقلیتی مسئلے اور ریاست کے اندر ریاست کے سرطان کا یہی ایک منطقی اور معقول حل ہے۔
آر ایس ایس کے دوسرے تنظیمی سربراہ گولوالکر کے ان خیالات کے ٹھیک باسٹھ برس بعد آر ایس ایس کے موجودہ اور پانچویں سربراہ سدرشن نے اکتوبر دو ہزار ایک میں آگرہ میں اس وقت کے وزیرِ داخلہ ایل کے اڈوانی کی موجودگی میں پچھتر ہزار کار سیوکوں سے خطاب کیا۔ موضوع تھا غیرملکی مشنریز، بنیاد پرست قوتیں اور آئی ایس آئی۔

اس خطبے کے دو ماہ بعد سدرشن جی نے کہا کہ مسلمانوں کو بھارت سے نکال دیا جائے یا پاکستان میں دھکیل دیا جائے تاکہ تقسیم کا نامکمل ایجنڈہ مکمل ہوسکے۔ دسمبر سن دو ہزار چھ میں سدھرشن جی نے پیش کش کی کہ مسلمانوں کے لیے آر ایس ایس کے دروازے کھلے ہوئے ہیں اگر وہ خود کو ہندو کہلوانا پسند کریں۔
یہ وہی سدھرشن جی ہیں جنہوں نے بابری مسجد کے انہدام کی تحقیقات کرنے والے لبراہان کمیشن کے روبرو بیان دیا تھا کہ بابری مسجد کا ڈھانچہ دراصل ان تین بموں کے پھٹنے سے گرا جو ایک مسلمان انیس احمد گہلوٹ نے وہاں نصب کیے تھے۔اس بیان پر مرحوم انیس گہلوٹ کے بیٹے اسلم جاوید نے سدرشن جی کے خلاف پچاس کروڑ روپے ہتکِ عزت کا دعویٰ کر رکھا ہے۔

"Amidst the damage of Evacuee Trust Complex (ETC) building where around 23 IT companies were housed, IT companies in Islamabad have restored their operations to normal from alternate facilities and are fulfilling contractual obligations to local and international clients. Mr. Talib Baloch, MD PSEB & Ms. Jehan Ara, President P@SHA said in a joint statement issued here after a meeting in Islamabad.
"Most of the Companies in the building were allied offices of international firms all of which have proper business continuity plans in place as a part of their strategic business plans".
The bomb-blast outside the Marriott, Islamabad also affected Evacuee Trust Complex (ETC), as it is located just next to Marriott Hotel. The building was the hub of IT Industry in Islamabad with around twenty-three prominent ICT companies and various other Multinationals.
Although the soft structure of building was smashed with interrupted power and other infrastructure issues but the equipment, data /record and furniture other than glass structure of all companies is reported safe and intact. This temporarily paralyzed the operations of tenant companies in the building. In addition to a few minor and eight seriously injured, six causalities have also been reported. The deceased include three employees of tenant companies and three security guards at ETC building. PSEB and P@SHA offer their sincere condolences to the families of all those who lost their lives in the vicious attack.
The building was initially sealed but after the intervention of Federal Secretary of Information Technology & MD PSEB, physical access was allowed to the tenant companies on emergency basis to remove their mission critical assets. Companies collected their critical equipment, furniture and records to restore their operations from alternate locations / facilities on war-footing basis. No theft or mismanagement was reported as companies moved their assets from the building. Many companies such as iKonami, Ovex Technologies, Cogilent Solutions, Jin Technologies, LMKR, PiSigma etc. have reinstated their operations from alternate sites in Islamabad and Rawalpindi. International community outsourcing IT to Pakistan has also expressed their satisfaction on continuity of business with Pakistani IT companies. The industry stands tall to fulfill all international and local business commitments. Mr. Ken Morse, MD MIT Entrepreneurship Center, USA, assured his continued support to Pakistan IT industry and confirmed his scheduled visit to Pakistan in November 2008.
To facilitate those affected, vigorous efforts are being made by PSEB to identify and arrange alternate facilities in Islamabad and Rawalpindi for both IT Companies and Call Centers on urgent basis to ensure continuation of business. Office space of more than 268,000 sq ft. has been identified to ETC tenant Companies. Few of these locations are ideal to convert into Software Technology Park and negotiations are underway with the owners. More than 690 fully and partially operational seats for call centers in Islamabad and Rawalpindi have also been arranged by PSEB and offered to the tenant companies, MD PSEB added.
Both the public and private sector is actively working together to reinstate the temporary loss suffered by the industry. President P@SHA, Ms. Jehan Ara reached Islamabad today to visit the building and met the affected companies. MD PSEB and President P@SHA requested IT companies having excess capacity to help each other by sharing office space. MoIT, PSEB, P@SHA and other industry leaders strongly demand the Chairman ETPB (Evacuee Trust Property Board) to take steps on war footing for the restoration of the building within next 30 days.

The two-page unsigned document had already been provided to the government. Sources on the condition of anonymity told that Hameed Gul has been blamed for arranging financial assistance to the criminal groups operating in Kabul beside he has been involved in recruiting the youths from seminaries and giving them training in subversion, who allegedly launch assaults on the Allied Forces with high-tech weapons.
Hameed Gul is one of the five former ISI officials, whose names Washington has recommended to the UN Security Council for their inclusion in the list of international terrorists. Earlier, US government Deputy spokesperson had denied sending any such list to the UN, while Hameed Gul has termed this report ridiculous.

Karkare's wife declines 'Modi's compensation' offer
Mumbai The family of slain Maharashtra ATS chief Hemant Karkare has declined Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi's offer of monetary help, sources said on Saturday. Modi on Friday visited the residences of Karkare and encounter specialist Vijay Salaskar, who were killed while fighting militants on Wednesday night.
Modi also announced that his government would give Rs 1 crore to Maharashtra for the families of policemen killed in the attacks.
Karkare's widow and other family members have declined Modi's offer, the sources said.

CNN-IBN: Do you have hard evidence to convict Sadhvi Pragya and Lt Col Purohit that goes beyond SMSs and the file fact that they were seen together in the video and the bike that was found in the Malegaon?
Hemant Karkare: Well, the conviction is given by the court at the time of trial. The process of investigation is on and we are gathering evidence. I am quite satisfied that my team is collecting as much evidence as possible and it will be presented to the court at the time of trial.
CNN-IBN: You are using Maharashtra Control of Organised Crime Act (MCOCA) against these accused, what is the nature of the evidence that you have?
Hemant Karkare: The relevant section of the law is applicable based on evidence which is gathered during the investigation. It is not a matter of convenience for investigation, it is a matter of evidence. As the evidence was unfolding in the present case, we found that the relevant sections of MCOCA Section 3 and its some subsections are applicable in this case. That is why it has been applied. It is not a question of expediency, it is a question of law and it is the question of evidence.
CNN-IBN: But the big question is whether the ATS is under political pressure. Have you been contacted by any political leader?
Hemant Karkare: I would like to repeat that there is absolutely no pressure from any quarter on my team of investigators. We are doing a completely professional job and we are proceeding with each step after the evidence available is evaluated, corroborated to some extent. Only then the next steps are taken.
CNN-IBN: It is not just Malegaon but there is a feeling that there could be links between Malegaon, Jalna, Nanded and even the Samjhauta train blast. Are you seeing a wider conspiracy involving this network you claim that you busted - the “saffron terror” network?
Hemant Karkare: We are presently focussing on investigation of Malegaon blast. If in this investigation, some leads come up with respect to other cases, they will be passed on to relevant investigation agencies at the appropriate time. Presently, our focus is mainly on investigation of Malegaon bomb blast case.
CNN-IBN: But this is what we have been hearing. Have you also told the court that the group is also wanted in other blasts across the country? This is something the ATS has been saying to us.
Hemant Karkare: See, it is a process. Process of investigation is checking up the evidence which becomes available to us through various means - witness statements, documentary evidence, the technical evidence, the background. So, this will be a bit premature to comment on any step before the investigation is concluded.
CNN-IBN: You are not giving us much details about the evidence but what about the allegations against your agency, the ATS? The allegation of torture that have even been leveled by the politicians.
Hemant Karkare: I am perfectly clear that we have not used any illegal means of interrogation. It is perfectly respecting the legal processes, the human rights. I would just like to add that few of these complaints have been sent to the court and we would be submitting our report to the court. The matter is subjudice. As you also mentioned about allegations made by family of Colonel Purohit, here I would like to state Colonel Purohit has stated in the court that he has not been given any ill-treatment at the hands of ATS.
CNN-IBN: So, do you have clear leads against the Sadhvi or is this is a fishing expedition? Are you convinced that the army man and the Sadhvi are involved definitely in the Malegaon in the conspiracy?
Hemant Karkare: (You are) cent per cent right when you say we are conducting investigation only based on the leads which we have. Not only just the leads, the leads which are verified and corroborated. Only based on such leads, we are proceeding with the investigation. It is certainly not any fishing expedition.
CNN-IBN: Will, there be more arrests? Can we expect for example more army officers to be arrested, are there more individuals involved in this operation?
Hemant Karkare: Well, it depends on the evidence which is being unfolded. As the evidence make available, we may arrest, if required, more accused.
